I discovered Lover—an Australian based label—the other day whilst researching who made Alexa Chung’s Golden Globes dress (which I never found out…). I fell in love instantly, thanks to its boyish femininity and retro vibe.
And the color palette! I love burnt oranges and cremes and black!
Not to mention lace, lace and more lace!

the nine-month itch is taking hold and the cabin fever has set in. my thoughts are on the sun and those winding Hollywood hills. the endless summer. the windows rolled down and the wind whipping through my hair. the open road. the long walks to nowhere. the laughter of strangers. and the music, oh the music! the City of Angels is alive with all things melodious. all the fond memories float to the...

here's to a happy, healthy new year!!
Ever since I was little, my mom has made a traditional southern meal of black-eyed peas, ham and cornbread for dinner on New Year’s Day. And since I haven’t spent a New Year’s at my mom’s house in a while, I decided to make my own New Year’s Day rendition of the traditional “health, wealth and prosperity!” meal to start the year off right:
Black-Eyed Pea...
happy new year!
today marks the one year anniversary of my tumblr!! and in honor of my one year commitment to creativity and inspiration, i thought i would take a brief look back at where i’ve come from in hopes of discovering where i’m going in the coming year.
