i feel as though we’re sitting on a ticking time bomb, waiting for the world to end. this disaster preparedness business makes me anxious for no reason—and not anxious as in worried about something serious happening, anxious as in “how do i best use these final hours with technology before the power goes out?”

lookbook fever.
How can I not be in love with the new Rodarte for Opening Ceremony lookbook, especially when it’s shot by the magnificent Autumn de Wilde and is described as being “inspired by the Nordic romance of Scandinavia”?!
I could post every single photo from the lookbook because they are JUST THAT AWESOME, but I won’t. Some things should be left to investigation.

last night i threw away five pairs of shoes. That was the text my dad sent me tonight, followed by this photo:
My grandfather passed away a little over a year ago, and the night before the funeral I stayed up really late with my dad talking about life, love and, of course, my grandfather. It was a good end to a rough night with my father (death makes people say crazy things sometimes), and I saw a side of my dad I had never seen before....
things i've ruined due to overdose:
-peanut butter dipped in chocolate chips
-cool ranch doritos
-ranch dressing (actually, my friend ruined this one for me)
-mayonnaise (partly a result of the ranch fiasco)
-bouillon cubes
