yesterday marked the 78th anniversary of the ratification of the 21st Amendment (aka. the end of Prohibition). i heard multiple people walking around saying “happy ratification day! let’s get drunk!!”
today marked the 146th anniversary of the adoption of the 13th Amendment (aka. the abolishment of slavery). it is now officially after midnight and i did not hear one person even mention this today.
